Newtown Memories
7th September 2008

Hi Everyone

I was born in Victoria Street, Newtown in 1948, where my parents, Ardern and Elsie Mason had a grocers and confectioners shop at no. 40, Victoria Street, next door to the Bethel Independent Methodist Church. I lived there with my mum and dad, and sister Pamela until 1976 when we moved to Reedsmere Close.

I attended St. Mark's Junior and Infants School, and was a regular attender at St. Mark's Church, Newtown and member of the Boys' Brigade.

There are many wonderful memories of my childhood days in Newtown, and I spent many happy hours in Alexandra Park.
