Ok - I get it - Hasta Lavista!
29th December 2009

I now realise (the amount of comments should have tipped me off LOL!) that a site like this is the wrong venue for a photography based Blog.

I'll find somewhere with an audience more inclined to be interested in what I do.

You shouldnt just be doing it for the comments you should just be glad that you have the ability to take nice photos.

Mick - I am glad I have the ability and the opportunity. But sharing them here seems to be one way traffic so I'll share them where folk will appreciate them more - or at least tell me if they do or don't :-)

You may get a record number of comments this time Dave.

Oy... how many WW members do you think actually view the Blogs... let alone know about them?

I knew about them, I even have one myself, but it is very rare I come and look. WW is more a town specific site than a photographic site.

But.. I don't really hate you, please don't stop posting your photographs on WW per se, by all mean abandon the Blogs... but do carry on posting them in other sections.

What's needed Oy is a site where ardent photgraphers can submit their efforts for more technical praise or criticism.Loners like myself could learn a lot from such comment but the well known World wide sites are just to huge to be taken seriously.I tend to agree with you that wiganworld by its very title is perhaps not the best place for this exercise.Anyway, all the very best for 2010 and Your photos have really been a source of both pleasure and inspiration.

I feel sorry that someone should feel they have to leave a blog site, because they have few comments, about their images.
Dave seems to look for approval rather than contributing to a town site, mentions his equipment (Nikon) and looks for praise? Weddings and portraits, as his work expands to are the most difficult areas of prof. photography, as they are live and in the moment, "you can't get it wrong".
Good luck Dave- but don't give up on WW.
Yer old mate, Bernard.

Hello dave,I worked part time for a few years as a photo finisher for a profesional photographer.I did mounting, heat sealing, canvasing and framing and everything had to be spot on and perfect.Must be quite a stressful occupation at times.

I'd take a Quaker's perspective on this Oy and look on silence or lack of comment as a good, contemplative thing ; a positive reaction even.
