A little late, I know, but all the best for 2011. I've never been as busy in my whole life since starting a business last April and I'm getting quite a backlog of emails and requests.
Apologies if I've not dealt with your email yet, I will get round to it soon.
John Sharrock Taylor has written a new book titled 'A Wigan Childhood' (ISBN 978-1-874181-71-2). I bought a copy recently and read a quarter if it on the same day, it's very interesting. The book is John's personal memoir of life in the 1950s and contains other local history and funny tales. You can read more about his book on his website: John Sharrock Taylor
More local art has been added, please take a look at Derek Winstanley's website, an expat living in Illinois who has done some excellent wood and stone sculptures. Also, Joanne Boon Thomas has a comprehensive website filled with paintings, information and videos.
Several links to more sites of interest for locals have been added. Take a look at the links page and visit some of the sites, there are some good ones out there.
