Ages since I did anything on my Blog but as the week-end was great thought I'd just add a line or two. Weather was so good here in Suffolk (for October in the Uk)  daughter and I went to the coast at Aldburgh, only about an hour and a half away,  we went in the campervan and had a great time, wandered along the beach, had a meal in the famous Aldburgh fish and chip place and generally had a great couple of days, no rain and not too cold.  Last week of British Summertime - dark nights on the way so when we'll get another good week-end is anyones guess.

Just got back from a week in North Yorks, daughter has a campervan so the two of us hit the road (left her other half at home looking after the chickens etc) We had a day shopping in York, a day in Whitby which included the famous fish and chips,  the rest of the time we walked along the coastal footpath. Most of the time we were based in a little villiage a few miles from Whitby called Hinderswell.  The weather was great, just one nights rain and that had cleared again by the morning.  Back down to Suffolk and an overgrown lawn wich I can't cut cause the rain won't stop long enough - thats my excuse.

Went from Suffolk to Bedfordshire as grand daughter graduated on Friday, a degree in psychology, will have to watch myself now!!!!  Then on Sunday up to the National Forest in Leicestershire to plant a couple of trees.  All this and only two and a half weeks to visiting son in NY - NY. How did I find time to work?

Got another toy (apart from my PC) a couple of days ago,  My very first ipod, didn't realise how great they where, now I will be able to listen to the tracks I really like from my  CD's.  I'm about a third of the way through my inputs but I'm sure it will be worthwhile when I've finished. Well ----- back to the music.

Only another seven weeks and will be visiting son in NY. Have just got travel insurance cover in the post and it made me realise how near the departure date is. Of all the coutries I have visited in the past I've never been to the states. The ticket was a christmas pressie, will be staying in his appt in Manhatten and am really looking forward to seeing all the sights, - have been advised to take "thermals".  The exchange rate is good at the moment (in our favour) so hope to have a bit of retail therapy. Will make sure I take some pics and post them on the site when I get back. 

Today I went to the dentist for a checkup, was told I needed to make another appt for some treatment but the earliest appt they could give me was November 27th - (not that I like dentists but I would have liked to see him a little  sooner) who knows what might have happened to my teeth by then! Still I beleive  in some places you can't find an NHS centist to register with.
