When i was just 8 year`s old my uncle started off a small group which is known now by all wiganer`s as THE WIGAN WANDERERS.It was great growing up hearing everyone talking about them and knowing that their identity was to never be found out.You never hear as much today about them as you used to so i thaught i`d write just a little about us just to keep that littlebit of wigan history that once was. To cut along story short back in the 80`s my uncle moved to cheshire because he foundhis family as he was adopted as a child & when he arrived in cheshire ( where we all live today ) he found out that the other member`s of thewanderer`s were also his brother`s as they too were adopted they were all left on different door step`s at night. Hence the song they sang asthey guarded the street`s of wigan "i was born under a WANDERING star". My father ( may he rest in peace ) and i are the one`s that helped gettheir family together and i wanted to write this small blogg just as a recognition to them and the part they played in the history of our beautifultown WIGAN. "have you all noticed that ive used no name`s and kept their identity`s a secret" Thank`s for the memory`s lad`s i love youall.....................P.S

I hope no wiganer`s plan on moving to cheshire because ive lived here since 1992 and hated every minute of it..................................................
